The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

So, if you can believe it, I had absolutely no contact with this wonderful virtural reality for no less than three whole days. Saturday, we woke up, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, at 1 in the afternoon *snickers*; took a drive; and tried to make it over to Bok Tower Gardens, which is about an hour and a half drive. Unfortunately, we didn't really make good enough time, and would have only had an hour to go through the whole area. Christy was really really bummed because she's been trying to take me there for as long as we've known each other. Still, as I tried to explain to her, it had been a very nice road trip even without the plant safari and that it wasn't what we did together that satisfied, but just that we spent time together as a family. When we got back to town, she/we didn't really want to go home yet, so we stopped in at IHOP to have a later-night breakfast... Good gawd, I had completely forgotten what an awesome selection they had and how affordable it was. Need less to say, I think we're going to start going there a lot more often when we choose to eat out.



Sunday was very much considerably better; we all went to the FL Aquarium, to which I hadn't been to yet, since I first moved down here. Sad, I know, taking into account that I've been here going on.... 3 years or so. It was utterly amazing to say the least. After that, we visited Christy's parents for a while, to make up for the fact that we hadn't for a solid 2/3 weeks. That visit, ended with a box full of canned goods in the back of the car LOL. It's soo funny, they're always trying to feed us or give us money; full-well knowing Christy has a very well paying job now. I guess they jus don't want to think they've outlived their 'usefulness'; it's really sweet when you think about it, though.



*Breathes*



Monday turned out pretty well too. We got the boys off to school, then enjoyed a little 'kid-free' cuddle time. She's such a good cuddler...unless Lil Bit is near by, of course; she gets a little overprotective of me when I'm sleeping and pretty much won't let Christy come near me without growling her head off lol. Anysway, Christy had a Dr. Appt later so she was off from work for the whole day. When we finally got out of bed, we went 'kid-free' grocery shopping; which meant the time flew by a lot faster. After having put all the perishables away, we set out to pick the kids up from school and head off to her appt. It went well, as expected, and then we were home...topping off the evening watching CSI : Miami...gooooood episode, btw, if you missed it you should be ashamed of yourself, lol j/k.



Sooooooo......yea; there's my explanation for being M.I.A. from here, not that you were worried or anything ;-P~

So, as the title suggest, our oldest boy jus turned 10 years old today! Talk about feelin' a wee bit older ourselves, lol. All in all, I think the day went pretty well. Christy had to work, unfortunately, but we did as we always do; we adapted and overcame. Chris still had a kick-ass day ~watchin' movies, playing games with his brother, and then, Christy and I took him to GameStop. We are still going to have a party for him on Saturday; we're going bowling and he's sooooo excited! Honestly, he's adorable when he wants to be lol.



Anywho, we went to GameStop and let him pick out a Nintendo DS; a nifty carry kit; and I think about three games. After that, we went to an Icecream place down here called "Cold Stone".....it's to die for *drools* Finally, on our way home, we stopped at BK for food; his choice of course. Though I was really hoping he'd picked a sit-down restaurant so we could surprise him with one of those 'special b-day treats' Meh, oh well, lol, maybe we could get away with it the next time we do go to a sit-down place.



The best part, aside from that brilliant smile of his, it's not over yet!!!!!
